So a few months ago I received an email from my friend Kathy Escobar with an invitation to participate in a book project.  Based on the email, I contacted the editor at Civitas Press with a story I had written regarding a real life encounter I had here in Albany that involved my pitiful efforts at attempting to love people out here that really could use a friend.  This began the process of editing and shaping the content of my story to meet the requirements of the scope of the book and ultimately led to me inviting my friend and Co-pastor Martin into the project.
