Tonight at The Distillery we did a cover of one of my favorite songs by Coldplay called "The Scientist."  It was a continuation of our running theme  of love songs that say a lot more about relationships in general than we might expect. Frequently in the song the artist refers to "going back to the start" which is something I think that we all wish we could do.  Having learned what we learned and now that the relationship has come to an end, we realize that we want to try again -- try to reconnect.  We wish we had a second chance to start-over. In the Kingdom of God, we can have friendships and relationships that last a life time so long as we know when to go back to the start and so long as we learn from our mistakes and as long as we are willing to keep on trying.  Jesus came to earth to tell us that every person we come in contact with s worth our time and effort.  So don't give up on me even if we have to go back to the start.
